Phoenix, United States - November 23, 2025 11/23/2025 03:30 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to officers at the scene, Phoenix Police Department officers and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 67th Avenue and Virginia Avenue. On arrival, firefighters located a collision involving a red sedan and a white pickup truck. The driver of the red sedan was found trapped inside the vehicle. The driver was pulled from the sedan following an extensive mechanical extrication operation and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two additional patients believed to be from the involved pickup truck were transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. Phoenix Police Vehicular Crimes Unit detectives have assumed command of the investigation. 67th Avenue was closed between Encanto Boulevard and Thomas Road during the investigation.
