KRASNOARMEYSK, SARATOV OBLAST, RUSSIA (RELEASED ON NOV. 26, 2025) (USERS MUST CREDIT “RUSSIAN DEFENSE MINISTRY” HANDOUT, MUST NOT OBSCURE LOGO —EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Russian air defense forces operating in the Krasnoarmeysk direction have “successfully” intercepted and destroyed several Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
According to a statement from the ministry, the crew of a ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun from the "Center" group of forces destroyed a fixed-wing "Darts" strike UAV.
"The on-duty crew detected a low-flying target in a timely manner, determined its movement parameters, and opened fire from two 2A14 automatic cannons of 23 mm caliber," the ministry's report stated. It added that several bursts were effective, destroying the kamikaze drone as it approached a controlled area.
The defense ministry emphasized that these prompt actions prevented a potential precision strike and ensured the safety of personnel on the line of combat contact.
