There is a misunderstanding, and that is why we continue to take to the streets—to clarify that there is no peace, not in Gaza and not anywhere else. There is no peace, and there is no cease-fire. There is no peace, as the attacks continue every day. Palestinian families and homes are not spared from this terror. That is why we continue to take to the streets. None of us are free until all of us are free, and we refuse to remain silent. Because if we stay silent, then we become complicit in the ongoing genocide that Israel is committing."

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN - NOV. 29: Hundreds of people gathered in central Stockholm, Sweden, on Saturday, Nov. 29, to protest Israel for violating a cease-fire agreement and intensifying its attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Responding to a call by numerous non-governmental organizations, the demonstrators assembled at Odenplan Square to condemn the Israeli military for resuming airstrikes on Gaza and restricting the entry of humanitarian aid, following a truce that came into effect on Oct. 10.

Protesters carried signs with slogans such as “End the occupation of Palestine immediately,” “End the genocide and blockade,” “Free access to humanitarian aid and the reconstruction of Gaza,” and “Israel must comply with the peace agreement.”

They urged the Swedish government to impose a comprehensive military embargo on Israel.
Frederik Ericsson, a Swedish activist supporting the demonstration, told Anadolu that they took to the streets to protest Israel's non-compliance with the cease-fire.

“There is no peace either in Gaza or outside Gaza,” Ericsson stated. “I have been coming here to Rörstrandsgatan in Stockholm for over two years now. There is a misunderstanding, and that is why we continue to take to the streets—to clarify that there is no peace, not in Gaza and not anywhere else. There is no peace, and there is no cease-fire.”

He added: “There is no peace, as the attacks continue every day. Palestinian families and homes are not spared from this terror. That is why we continue to take to the streets. None of us are free until all of us are free, and we refuse to remain silent. Because if we stay silent, then we become complicit in the ongoing genocide that Israel is committing.”

The protest comes despite a cease-fire, as the Israeli military on Saturday intensified its ground, naval, and air strikes on several parts of the Gaza Strip, all within areas Israel continues to hold.

Israel has killed nearly 70,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 170,000 others in attacks in Gaza since October 2023.
