Man rescues hedgehog stuck in metal gate overnight in Odessa
Filmer Alexandr Kosenkov discovered a distressed hedgehog trapped in his fence in Odessa, Ukraine, on May 23, 2025.
According to Kosenkov, the poor animal had been stuck between the metal bars all night. The video shows the rescue mission, where Kosenkov carefully uses a towel to protect his hands from the hedgehog's spines.
With gentle maneuvering, he manages to push the stuck animal through the narrow gap, freeing it from its trap. He then releases the hedgehog onto the grass, telling it to "walk" and "eat less" in Russian as it returns to safety.
