Los Angeles, United States - December 09, 2025 12/08/2025 11:18 pm GMT-0800 HISTORIC SOUTH CENTRAL, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police officers and firefighters responded to a vehicle versus building incident at the intersection of 23rd Street and Grand Avenue. Firefighters found one male unresponsive and not breathing after he crashed his SUV into a light pole and the building. They immediately began CPR on the patient. He was transported to a nearby hospital with CPR in progress. According to the LAFD, the patient's care was transferred to the hospital upon arrival. There are no updates on the injured driver's condition from the LAFD or the LAPD. LAPD traffic units were on the scene handling the investigation. Preliminary information suggests the man was traveling at a high rate of speed east on 23rd Street when he hit a dip at Grand Avenue. This caused him to lose control of the vehicle, strike the light pole, and crash into the building. There is no additional information at this time.
