Colombia: M5.8 Earthquake Hits Early Morning Near Santander
A Magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck Colombia in the early hours of Wednesday, December 10, at 3:27 a.m. local time. The epicenter was located in the municipality of Piedecuesta, Santander, with a deep focus of 153 kilometers. This deep tremor allowed the shockwave to be felt widely across several regions, including major cities like Bogotá, Medellín, Bucaramanga, and Tunja. Crucially, no damage has been reported so far from the event.
