China: Auto output, sales maintain robust growth momentum in November

Storyline: China's auto production and sales sustained sound performance in November, with supply remaining brisk and growth in both month-on-month and year-on-year terms, according to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on Thursday. The latest data show that China's monthly auto output exceeded 3.5 million units in November for the first time, marking a new historical high. In the first 11 months of the year, auto production and sales both surpassed 31 million units, up more than 10 percent year on year. CAAM figures also indicate that from January to November, the country's production and sales of new-energy vehicles (NEVs) each approached 15 million units, representing year-on-year growth of over 30 percent.
