The ministry explained that Tu-22M3 long-range bombers from the Russian Air and Space Forces carried out scheduled flights over the neutral waters of the Black Sea.
The mission, escorted by Russian Su-35S and Su-27 fighter jets, lasted more than five hours.
The ministry noted that long-range aviation personnel routinely perform flights over the Arctic, North Atlantic, Pacific Ocean, Baltic Sea, and neutral waters of the Black Sea, with all Russian Air and Space Forces aircraft operations following international airspace rules.
