Cambodia: Cambodia Claims Downing Thai Drone Near Poipet
Cambodia - December 19, 2025 Cambodia’s military has claimed it shot down a Thai Air Force unmanned aerial vehicle near the border city of Poipet, alleging the aircraft was an Israeli-made Dominator XP MALE UAV. According to Cambodian officials, the drone was brought down using a QW-3 man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS). Thai military authorities have rejected the claim, stating that the debris recovered does not match the characteristics of a Dominator XP. Thai officials said the wreckage more likely belongs to a smaller tactical drone operated by the Thai Army, rather than a medium-altitude long-endurance platform.
