China: China's AI toys winning hearts of all ages
Storyline China's AI toys winning hearts of all ages [Voice_over] Small in size, but big in computing power, smart toys with AI technology are capturing the hearts of customers of all ages in China. In the southern Chinese city of Shantou, AI toys are growing in popularity. One local toy maker said they've sold over 10,000 sets of AI toys since October, with new orders scheduled through March of next year. [Sound_bite] Shen Runnan, General manager, toy company: "Thanks to AI large models, we're moving faster from product development to market entry. This year, we've integrated three large models into our products. The new products have been launched in the domestic market and the overseas buyers, especially those in Europe and the U.S. can't wait to get them on shelves." [Voice_over] For adult customers, the toys offer not just entertainment, but also sometimes companionship. [Sound_bite] Consumer: "As AI toys can interact with us, they can serve as a substitute for pets, providing some comfort and solace after work." [Soundbite] Chen Shaohui, consumer: "For seniors living alone, a 'little friend' like this could offer companionship and make them happier." [Voice_over] According to a forecast by IMARC Group, the global AI toy market size is expected to be valued at about 60 billion U.S. dollars by the year 2033.
