After the collision, the auto went out of control and overturned, injuring a total of eight people. The woman sustained serious injuries in the accident. The auto driver failed to notice the speed breaker on Kannan Road in time, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. Immediately after the accident, people present at the scene rescued the injured and took them to Mettur Government Hospital
