This is the shocking moment a furious passenger attacked an airport staff member as poor weather caused multiple flight delays in Mexico.

Footage shows the agitated female traveller in a black jacket pushing and slapping a uniformed employee at Tijuana International Airport on December 20.

The holidaymaker continued to vent her frustration as flight cancellations were announced due to bad weather.

Filmer Jorge said: 'Fog at Tijuana Airport, yes. But the real problem comes from the airlines - and yes, Volaris, this is for you.

'They cancel flights, leave passengers stranded, and then blame the weather as if that excuses their responsibility.

'No staff, no solutions, jammed phone lines, and empty service desks. They're punctual when it comes to collecting money, but when it comes to helping passengers, it's chaos.

'Every winter it's the same story, and every year they act as if fog is a surprise.

'While they can't control the weather, abandoning passengers is a choice. Don't try to sell us fog.'

Local media reported that Volaris, operating routes to both the US and Mexico, had cancelled 10 flights, primarily due to poor weather affecting its Tijuana (TIJ) hub.
