China: Dolphins tail-walk across pool in Chinese ocean park
Zhangzhou, China - December 16, 2025 On December 17, 2025, in Zhangzhou, located in southeastern China’s Fujian province, at Tianzhu Mountain Happy Ocean World, a video captured a dolphin performance in a show pool. One dolphin rose upright from the water and balanced on its tail. Using rapid tail strokes, it moved forward across the water’s surface in a straight line until it reached the opposite side. Another dolphin then lifted its body vertically, glided tail-first to the middle of the pool, and turned in a curved arc before diving back under. Chinese netizens noted that such movements come from long-term specialized training by the marine park staff.
