A family staying at their holiday house in Moray went viral after waking up on 4 January to discover they were completely snowed in, with their TikTok clip surpassing six million views.

They explained that the morning began unusually when the heating didn’t switch on, prompting them to head downstairs to check. But when they reached the kitchen, they realised something was very wrong — they couldn’t see out of the kitchen door at all, just a wall of white.

When they opened the door, they were met with a full whiteout, revealing that snow had piled up so high it had sealed the doorway shut. The moment, equal parts shocking and hilarious, captured the reality of Scotland’s winter weather at its most dramatic.
