Ribbonfish “bites” a Chinese student’s trousers on a bus and will not release it
This is the hilarious moment that a Chinese student had her trousers caught by a ribbonfish carried by a man while riding a city bus.
On December 23, 2025, in Nanjing, Jiangsu, the video captured a student standing on a public bus when a middle-aged man carrying several ribbonfish walked past her.
As the girl stepped aside to make room for him, the hook attached to one of the fish caught onto the fabric of her trousers.
The ribbonfish then appeared to “bite” and cling to her trousers, causing her to freeze in place while passengers around her reacted with surprise and quiet laughter.
The man stopped immediately and tried to free the hook as the girl carefully stood still to avoid tearing her clothes.
The video ended with the man successfully unhooking the ribbonfish from the girl’s trousers and both of them smiling awkwardly before the bus continued its route.
