Storyline Prefabricated construction builds momentum in China China has been advancing its prefabricated building industry. A 50-meter high "super factory" for prefabricated parts is set to open in south China's Shenzhen which will make units that will be assembled during construction. Factory officials say nearly 90 percent of things like walls and pipelines can be finished in the factory, with workers just snapping them into place during the building process. Plus these prefabricated buildings are integrated with smart technology. Gu Jiajun, chief executive, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Shenzhen Co.,Ltd.: "We launched our own the second prefabricated building machine. It can improve efficiency by over 30 percent. By BIM and construction robots and so on, we can control and improve the accuracy and transform to smart construction."
