A cow became stranded on a riverbank under difficult conditions. SDRF officials launched a rescue operation and, after a relentless effort, successfully pulled the animal to safety, ensuring it was unharmed and bringing the tense situation under control.

The incident took place near the THDC outpost in the Pipalkoti area, in Chamoli district, in northern India's Uttarakhand, on January 9.

Visuals show that even in very critical and challenging conditions, SDRF officials can be seen rescuing a cow trapped on the riverbank using ropes.

Speaking to Newslions, Vinit Vaibhav, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Constable, Uttarakhand, stated that the SDRF post at Gochar received a report about a cow stranded on a riverbank near the THDC outpost in Pipalkoti. Acting swiftly, a team led by Sub-Inspector Bhagat Kandhari departed for the location with all necessary rescue equipment. Upon arrival, the team had to navigate challenging terrain, including narrow and slippery roads, steep slopes, and working close to the river, making the operation particularly difficult.

Despite these obstacles, the team coordinated carefully and carried out the rescue mission with precision and vigilance. After a persistent effort, the cow was successfully pulled to safety. The SDRF’s prompt and professional response ensured the helpless animal’s life was saved, highlighting the team’s dedication and effectiveness in handling emergencies even under adverse and risky conditions.
