Los Angeles, United States - January 11, 2026 01/11/2026 03:30 pm GMT-0800 WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A man in a U-Haul truck plowed through a crowd of demonstrators marching to support regime change in Iran in Westwood on Sunday. The incident unfolded at 3:30 p.m. as thousands of demonstrators, estimated to be more than 10,000, marched down Veteran Avenue and turned onto Ohio Avenue. A man driving a U-Haul turned past a Los Angeles Police Department closure and toward the crowd. The large moving van was covered in anti-regime change messaging, prompting the crowd to focus angrily on the stopped van and the driver. Windows were shattered shortly before the van accelerated into the crowd at high speed. It’s unclear if anyone was struck at this time. Situation remains ongoing.
