A bride and groom at a wedding held in the Cotswolds, UK, surprised their guests with a brass band and even got them involved in an impromptu rendition of "The Twelve Days of Christmas".

Wedding photographer @katrinabartlam filmed the moment each row of the church stood up to sing a line from the festive song in perfect harmony.

She told Newsflare: "Clare and Nathan got married in the picturesque Cotswolds in England on the 22nd December. The church ceremony was already very atmospheric, filled with Christmas trees and candlelight but they had an idea to make it even more special.

"Towards the end of the ceremony a brass band called Brass Funkeys entered the church and paraded down the aisle to the front of the church. The vicar explained that on the pews were the words to the Christmas song 'The 12 Days of Christmas'. Each pew was given a line to sing. As they sing their line they were to stand up and then sit down at the end of their line. And so Brass Funkeys started up.

"The result was something straight out of a Richard Curtis movie! Guests pulled out memories of childhoods spent singing carols on gym floors in school assemblies and belted out the lines, every chorus getting louder and louder. It built to a crescendo of 150 people singing 'and a partridge in a pear tree' like something out a Christmas movie and produced one of the most heart warming scenes I can remember ever witnessing at a wedding.

"I have been a wedding photographer for over 10 years now and this was one of the most special wedding day moments I’ve ever had the chance to witness. After running around for the previous 12 choruses trying to get shots of all the pews standing and singing in such quick succession at the very end I was up at the front and thought it would be so lovely for the couple if they could have a video of it so just in time managed to press record to get the full final chorus. A wedding moment I will never forget."
