This is the hilarious moment a fairground-goer was left stranded upside down when a spinning barrel ride malfunctioned.

Jonafe Clarin and her family were visiting Lakeshore Park to enjoy the amusement rides in Pampanga, the Philippines, when her nephew, Bon, found himself stuck in a vertical spin.

Footage shows the riders buckled safely into their seats, spinning around in their individual cabins on January 2.

However, moments later, Bon can be seen completely motionless, suspended with his head pointing towards the ground and his feet in the air.

Jonafe can be heard bursting into laughter as she spots her eldest nephew frozen in the awkward position.

She said: 'The ride was going smoothly at first. On the second rotation, we noticed that my nephew's seat had jammed.

'It was so funny because he thought it was a normal part of the experience. He didn't realise anything was wrong. That's why he didn't panic and just stayed in that position.'
