Iran - January 14, 2026 The Iranian human rights organization Hrana announced on Tuesday that the confirmed death toll from the recent protests has reached 2,003 people, underscoring the scale of the ongoing violence and crackdown. According to the group, the victims include 1,850 protesters, 135 members of regime forces, as well as 9 minors and 9 civilians who were not participating in the demonstrations. Hrana, which documents human rights violations in Iran, said the figures are based on verified cases and warned that the actual number of deaths may be higher due to restricted access to information and widespread internet disruptions imposed by authorities.
