According to a statement by the US Geological Survey (USGS), nearly continuous lava overflows were observed overnight from the northern vent of the Halemaʻumaʻu crater. Meanwhile, dome-style lava fountains and intermittent lava flows continued from the southern vent.

Kilauea has been erupting intermittently since December 2024, with the latest activity marking the volcano’s 40th eruption since then, according to USGS data.
