Los Angeles, United States - January 15, 2026 01/15/2026 02:00 am GMT-0800 LAKE BALBOA, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – California Highway Patrol units from Newhall and West Valley responded to a report of an armed kidnapping on Thursday morning. The incident was reported to have occurred while the suspect vehicle, a white Cadillac SUV, was traveling southbound on the 405 freeway. Initial reports indicated that several armed men forced another man into the SUV at gunpoint. Officers received live updates on the vehicle's whereabouts and subsequently stopped it at a gas station in the 16500 block of Victory Boulevard. Law enforcement ordered three men out of the vehicle, with two being placed in handcuffs. The third male, who is believed to be the possible victim, was evaluated on the scene by the Los Angeles Fire Department for unknown injuries. No further details are available at this time.
