Video shows the moment a United Airlines Boeing 737-900ER experienced a nose landing gear failure while landing at Orlando International Airport on January 18, 2026.

The aircraft, operating Flight 2651 from Chicago, is seen touching down when the nose wheel detaches and rolls away to the right of the runway, resulting in a hard landing. The plane was disabled on the runway, prompting a temporary FAA ground stop and causing significant departure delays at the airport.

United Airlines confirmed that all 165 passengers and seven crew members onboard were safely evacuated and transported by bus to the terminal. No injuries were reported.

Aviation experts say nose landing gear failures are rare and can be linked to manufacturing defects or maintenance-related issues. The National Transportation Safety Board has launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
