Dozens arrested after protest at Manhattan hotel over ICE housing

Dozens of protesters were arrested in New York City on Tuesday after they staged a demonstration inside the lobby of a Manhattan hotel, accusing the establishment of housing federal immigration officers.

Footage from the scene shows demonstrators packing into the small lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn, chanting and demanding the hotel stop accommodating federal immigration personnel.

An NYPD officer is heard on video warning the crowd that they must leave immediately or face arrest.

Moments later, officers moved in, handcuffing protesters as they continued to chant calls for the abolition of ICE.

A total of 66 protesters were arrested, 64 of whom were brough in under trespassing and disorderly conduct charges, and two protesters were given a desk appearance ticket for obstructing governmental administration.
