Shocking footage has emerged of a driver's head smashing through his windscreen during a nasty accident on a road in China.

The video, captured in Tangshan, Hebei Province on August 15, shows a 4x4 waiting at traffic lights, when all of a sudden a people carrier slams into the back of it.

The driver of the people carrier ends up with his head poking through the broken glass of his windscreen.

The emergency services quickly took the man to hospital where he is said to be recovering.

The CCTV video, captured in Tangshan, Hebei Province on August 15, shows the minibus stopping on road when the traffic light turns to red, but a lorry crashing into the minibus from behind in fast speed.

After that, we can see the lorry driver's head comes out of the front windscreen.

Because the lorry driver didn't wear the seatbelt, his head knocked out of the front windscreen after collision.

He was sent to hospital and fortunately he was out of danger.
