Science Teacher has fun doing a science show for children

Australian Science Teacher Jacob Strickling performed a Solid / Liquid / Gas Science show for some younger classes at his school. First he used a giant black solar tube which he filled with air and then tied off the end. As the black tube heated up, the air expanded and started to float. The children had fun pushing it up into the air.
Inside, Strickling then filled some balloons with helium gas. When he cooled them with liquid nitrogen, they shrunk to a very small size. As they warmed up, they returned to normal size and started to float.
Finally, Strickling added some liquid nitrogen to a kettle. When the kettle was put into warm water the liquid nitrogen started to boil causing the whistle to blow. Strickling has a YouTube channel called ‘Make Science Fun’ and takes every opportunity to inspire young people.
