Hardy sheep in freezing Cumbria snow
Video from Sunday 18th Jan of a flock of hardy local Herdwick sheep braving icy weather in the popular tourist village of Grasmere, Cumbria, UK.
The filmer later wrote online:
"This hardy breed are used to harsh conditions that the Lake District weather can bring. With coarse thick wool they are protected against the ravages of winter.
"Grasmere received 10cm of fresh snow this morning, then the weather cleared for a sunny but windy afternoon.
"Temperatures are forecast to plummet overnight because of clear skies with forecasts as low as -10 in the Lake District."
