Chinese motorist drives off with officer on bonnet to avoid police check
A motorist dragged an officer on their bonnet for 2 kilometres while trying to avoid a police check in southern China.
The CCTV video, captured in the city of Nanchang in Jiangxi Province on October 20, shows a car suddenly reversing when police officers asked the motorist to show his driving licence at a petrol station.
After the car stopped, it then sped up and drove away with a police officer lying on the front of the vehicle.
The police officer was dragged on the car bonnet for around 2 kilometres until the vehicle stopped in at a red light.
According to reports, the motorist forgot to bring his licence and thought the police would detain his car. So he tried to escape.
The motorist was arrested by the police, reports said.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
