Off-duty firefighter rushes into burning restaurant to put out flames
An off-duty firefighter rushed into a restaurant in flames to help put out the fire in northern China.
In the video film in Yan'an, Shaanxi, a fire broke out in a restaurant and more than 20 people including customers and the owner ran out in a hurry.
Li Yang, a firefighter off duty was waiting for his friend nearby at the moment, and rushed into the restaurant. Seeing that the cooking stove had burst into flames, and there was a liquefied gas tank next to it, he managed to move the gas tank outside and then ran to the second floor to get the fire extinguisher.
Finally he put the fire out and left.
Later the shop owner sent a thank-you banner to the firefighter at the fire department where he works.
The video was filmed on December 18 and provided by local media.
