Elderly Chinese man jumps into lake to save drowning 4-year-old boy
An elderly man jumped into a lake to rescue a drowning boy in southwest China.
The heroic video, filmed in the city of Liupanshui in Guizhou Province on June 27, shows an 81-year-old man named Kong Xiangxing running to jump into a lake to save a 4-year-old drowning, followed by a young man named Zhu Longfei.
Zhu said he always goes swimming and he was worried that Kong might not have enough strength so he jumped into the lake after Kong to help them back to shore.
After the boy was rescued, the residents called an ambulance and performed CPR on him. Thanks to the heroic residents, the boy was not in a life-threatening condition.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
