Firemen on Sunday rescued a toddler who got his hand stuck in an escalator in Changsha, Hunan Province.

The accident happened when the three-year-old fell on the supermarket escalator and got his hand stuck in the gap between the steps and the side panel.

It took firemen around two hours to free the boy. He was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

It is the latest in series of incidents involving escalators to emerge from China.
