A bus driver heroically saved his passengers before passing away due to a sudden heart attack while driving. On April 22 in Jingzhou, northern China, Wang Tongguo was driving a rural bus from Songzi Xinjiangkou to Yangxi when he suddenly felt unwell and started leaning unconsciously.

Realizing the danger, Wang persevered through the pain, holding the steering wheel tightly, and carried out a series of safety measures, including slowing down, pulling over, parking, and pulling the handbrake. The entire process took less than 20 seconds.

After the bus safely stopped at the side of the road, Wang collapsed on his driver's seat. The passengers on board immediately checked on him and got off the bus to seek help, calling emergency services. Despite medical staff's best efforts, Wang was unable to be saved and passed away due to a sudden heart attack.

In his final moments, Wang, a professional driver, demonstrated textbook-worthy safety procedures to protect his passengers' lives.
