Deaf man climbs 4 floors to rescue elderly resident hanging from window in China
A brave deaf man climbed four floors to rescue an elderly man hanging from the third-floor window of a building in southeastern China.
Video filmed in the city of Yichun in Jiangxi Province on September 14 shows a man climbing up a building via a gas pipe and entering a flat on the third floor.
After the deaf man climbed into the third-floor flat, he pulled the elderly man back to safety.
According to an employee of the property management named Yang, the elderly man had senile dementia and he was home alone when the incident happened.
The rescuer was a 63-year-old deaf man who was a volunteer in the residential community.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
