Not my idea of fun: Tourists packed like sardines at China scenic spot
Tourists got stuck at a jam-packed scenic spot as it received a record number of visitors in southern China.
Video filmed in the city of Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province on January 24 shows a large number of tourists struggling to move along a mountain path at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
A visitor said they were tightly squeezed in and at times it felt hard to breathe.
According to an employee cited by local media, the usual number of visitors to the site is around 20,000 to 30,000 but it increased to 60,000 on that day, making it a record for the number of tourists on a single day.
All tourists reportedly got down the mountain safely at 10:30 pm and no one was left stranded.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
