In China, an apartment block's corridor turned into a magical ice castle when a person left a door open
Magical icicles formed in an apartment block's corridor in China during freezing conditions after an outside door was left open.
The remarkable scene was filmed in the city of Jiamusi in Heilongjiang Province on January 24.
Icicles formed and hung from the roof of a corridor when the door was left open and the temperature reportedly reached around -40 degrees Celsius. According to reports, when the cold air was blown into the building and met the hot air from the indoor heating system, it froze and formed the ice formations.
The icicles have been removed already for safety reasons.
The video was provided by a resident named Ou.
