Man's rush to work nearly ends in disaster as car hangs off rocks near sea in China
A man's rush to work saw him leave his vehicle in neutral, sending the car onto a rocky outcrop on the seashore in eastern China.
Video filmed in the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province on March 8 shows a car dangling on the rocks near the sea.
According to the motorist Mr Liang, he was in a rush to work on a construction site and parked his car on the slope.
As he only pulled up the handbrake and left the manual car in neutral, the vehicle rolled back down the slope.
Liang only spotted the incident after around 10 minutes and the car was already positioned on the cliff by the sea.
Liang eventually hired a crane for 600 yuan (£72) to lift the car back up.
The car had some scratches and the front of the car was scraped during the lifting process.
Fortunately, the car was wedged by a rock and after repairs, it could still be used.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
