An online shopper was left shocked after discovering counterfeit batteries in a recent purchase in northern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Heihe in Heilongjiang Province on March 26.

The woman named Lin had purchased what she believed to be a box of high-quality batteries for her camera but was surprised to find that the camera displayed low battery levels immediately after installation.

Upon inspection of the batteries, she discovered that the outer casing was warped, which prompted her to peel back the casing and uncover that they were counterfeit.

Lin attempted to contact the seller but found that the product had already been taken down.

As a result, she plans to report the incident to the Consumer Protection Association in hopes of preventing others from falling victim to similar scams.
