A video that shows elderly people in frenzy for free toilet paper in a public restroom in Chongqing, China, has gone viral on social media.

In the video, three elderly women can be seen taking turns grabbing large amounts of toilet paper which was placed in the public toilet for free, while an elderly man joins in.

Within a minute, the toilet paper that was just placed in the restroom had been taken by the group.

Officials from the sanitation department of the WanSheng Economic Development Zone said they will investigate the incident and report it to the management department for further action.

People online complained about the elderly’s behavior thinking they’re taking advantage of the free toilet paper.

The video was filmed on April 21 and provided with permission from local media.
