Footage was filmed on the Sembahe River, Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province on Sunday (April 30), showing a white car being swept away by a swift river current. The tourist's car was previously parked on the bank of the river.

Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) for Deli Serdang Regency, Amos Karokaro, said that the flash floods had panicked a number of tourists at the location.

“When they saw the torrential flash flood coming, they ran to higher ground. One tourist's car was swept away by the fast current because it was too late to save it," the officer Karokaro said.
