The flood submerged dozens of houses including community service facilities in Indonesia.

Footage from Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra Province on May 8, shows an overflowing river submerging the Public health center, places of worship, and dozens of residents' houses along the banks of the Batang Tapakis river.

The flood forced the health center to temporarily stop providing health services to the community.

The floods were triggered by heavy rains that have flushed the area for the past three days.

The high intensity of rain caused rivers to overflow, submerging settlements and roads.

A number of residents fled to higher ground, while a number of vehicles broke down while trying to cross the flood.
