Rescue operations continued for the fourth day in the village of Irshalwadi, India's Maharashtra, after a massive landslide killed at least 27 people. There are currently 57 residents missing.

Today (July 24), India's National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and governmental authorities have decided to call off the operation.

According to NDRF Inspector Mahesh Sindha, no bodies have been found or recovered today.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Maharashtra, including the landslide-hit area of Raigad district.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and other agencies resumed the search and rescue operation for the fourth day on July 23 at Irshalwadi village in Maharashtra's Raigad district where a massive landslide led to the death of at least 27 people, officials said.

According to an NDRF Spector Mahesh Sindha, no body was recovered so far after the search and rescue operation resumed in the morning.

The India Meterological Department (IMD) has issued an ‘orange’ alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Maharashtra including the landslide-hit area of Raigad district. Other areas where the alert has been sounded are Palghar, Thane, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts.
