Rescuers continue to dig through mud after landslide killed 27 people in India's Maharashtra

Rescue operations continued for the fourth day in the village of Irshalwadi, India's Maharashtra, after a massive landslide killed at least 27 people. There are currently 57 residents missing.

Today (July 24), India's National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and governmental authorities have decided to call off the operation.

The footage shows members of India's National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) digging through the mud.

According to NDRF Inspector Mahesh Sindha, no bodies have been found or recovered today.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Maharashtra, including the landslide-hit area of Raigad district.

The footage was provided by NDRF.
