The heroic action of a young man in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia, guided a truck loaded with humanitarian aid logistics for victims of flash floods through a road less than two meters wide.

This was done because the road, which is right next to the Batang Tarusan River, had eroded the edge of the national road connecting West Sumatra and Bengkulu Province, causing the road to collapse as a result of the flash flood that occurred in the early hours of Friday, March 8.

Not only did it erode the road, but the mud mixed with sand also washed away dozens of logs with a diameter of 30 to 150 centimeters from housing owned by residents living around the river.

Apart from that, a suspension bridge connecting the village with other villages was completely broken due to being hit by the flash flood that occurred on Friday, March 8.
