Footage of a creative dad using a drone to launch a toy parachute for his kids.

The video, filmed near Sydney, Australia, shows Jacob Strickling from the YouTube channel Make Science Fun piloting a quadcopter to lift the toy parachute before letting it drop and filming it on the way down.

A Phantom 3 drone is used to carry a toy parachute high above some houses and then release it.
The drone then films the parachute returning to the ground.
A very simple mechanism was used to carry and launch the drone (basically a drinking straw glued onto the legs) To release the parachute, the pilot just had to wiggle the drone at an angle and the parachute man slid off the straw.
