A cool video has emerged of Australian father Jacob Strickling showcasing his ingenious way to keep cool and entertain his children while mowing the lawn.

The footage, shot near Sydney on Saturday, shows Strickling's son and daughter spraying him with water-guns as he tows them in bathtubs with his lawnmower.

"Sydney Australia has just set the record for the hottest summer in recorded history," he wrote online.

"Temperatures have been reaching over 40 degrees celsius."
