Police, Royal Navy Bomb disposal squad and coastguards called for reinforcements and an exclusion zone was extended at lunchtime today after an initial inspection of the suspect device. we had been watching the bomb disposal men at work from the pier for about two hours , there was no police about at all untill the navy guys came in on the dingy and saidits big , bigger than twe expected , this bomb was about 300 ft from the beach for years people had been swimming around this
