Watch this very late and incredibly powerful go around - a British Airways 777-36N(ER) aborted landing due to traffic ahead on the runway!

A Cobalt Air Airbus A320-214 (5B-DCY) comes into land at London Heathrow Airport (LHR/EGLL) but is unable to vacate the runway in time for this British Airways Boeing 777-36N(ER) to land behind, forcing a late go around.

It was an awesome moment, listen to those powerful GE90 engines power up as TOGA is activated!

Air Traffic Control gives the instruction "land after..." but the crew of this 777 decided a go around was necessary. A good decision by the crew, putting the safety of the aircraft and their passengers first. Listen to the full air traffic control communcations in the background of this video, including details of the incident and the reason for the go around.

The aircraft performing the go-around was G-STBB operating BA272/BAW72A from San Diego (SAN/KSAN) to London Heathrow International Airport (LHR/EGLL) on the 21st April 2018.
