These lads made the most of flooded roads in their neighbourhood - using a motorcycle and a bathtub to go wakeboarding.

Paramat Kamnoi, 28, and two pals rolled out the improvised extreme water sports device after heavy monsoon rains caused 15cm deep water in Samut Prakan, Thailand, on Saturday night.

One lad squatted in a plastic tub tied to a motorcycle while his friend rode ahead - creating a large 'wake' behind.

He manages to stand up while clinging to the sides of the black tub, surfing and pumping along the ripples with impressive skill.

Footage taken by father-of-one Paramat as the road alongside shows how they made several attempts at the urban wakeboarding, after suffering wipeouts.

He said: ''The roads were flooded so we couldn't go outside anywhere. It was Saturday night so we were quite bored.

''We decided to go outside and try wakeboarding. It was fun. Everybody was wet because the water was so deep. My friend did well to ride the waves. It's not easy to stay balanced.''
