The enormous python was caught after curling up next to crates full of empty COKE bottles.

The sweet-toothed serpent was heard rattling around outside the home in Saraburi, Thailand, last Sunday (04/11) night.

Homeowner Nang Tiw said her grandchildren were playing in the yard and looked under the covers - then ran away after seeing the snake.

She was shocked when she went to investigate the noise and saw the 14ft long reptile staring back up at her.

Animal handlers arrived and dragged the python out from its hiding place among the empty fizzy drinks glass bottles.

Nang Tiw, 50, said: ''Three of my grandchildren were playing in front of the house. They had a glimpse of snake. I was shocked to to see them run away.

''I went to see what the matter was and saw the snake next to the soft drinks bottles. I think it had been attracted to them.

''When the emergency services cam they took care of it, and I thought the snake was quite beautiful. I touched it for good luck.''

The reptile was stuffed inside a white sack and driven away several miles to be released back into the wild.
