A 4-ft Cobra that got stuck inside a water pipe was rescued by a team of snake rescuers in the Chandaka forest division of Bhubaneshwar in the Odisha district, India.

The snake had got half of its body stuck in a small hole of the pipe and was unable to come out on its own. A person who saw the trapped reptile called the snake helpline to its rescue.

The snake rescue team led by Subhendu Malik rushed to the spot in order to rescue the venomous reptile out from the trapped situation.

A video captured by one of the snake rescue members show the team diligently trying to break open the iron pipe. One of the members tries to cut the pipe using a hacksaw while also trying to break it against a wall.

After almost 40 minutes of marathon operation, the rescuers were able to break open the pipe in order to free the trapped reptile.

Soon after the reptile is freed, it tries to run away from the spot, but the rescuers catch hold of it and put it inside the snake bag to be released into the forest.

The snake had probably entered inside the pipe in behind a prey but it got stuck inside it as the diameter of the pipe was larger than its body.
